Wat Buddha Dhamma was founded by Venerable Phra Khantipalo (now Lawrence Khantipalo Mills) and Venerable Ayya Khema in 1978. Although Venerable Ayya Khema died in 1997, the Wat continues to nurture her teachings as well as those of the renowned Thai teacher, the late Ajahn Chah. Whilst Theravadin Buddhism continues to be its focus, the Wat also welcomes teachers from a variety of Buddhist traditions.
