Interested in joining the Wat Resident Community? The Wat is going through a significant transition period, and there is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a new community at the Wat. The Wat needs team players, willing to work hard, and committed to development of a resident community centered on the Buddha's teachings. To be part of the community, you will need to be either a Buddhist practitioner or very keen to learn about the Buddha's teachings and how it can be applied to daily living. As the resident community is responsible for running the day to day operations of the Wat as a retreat center, practical skills such as cooking, building, machine handling, or office skills are important qualities for prospective community members. This is a rare opportunity to experience a different lifestyle and the Buddha's teachings into practice in a supportive environment. Access to teachings and a focus on service will allow you to gain a new perspective on your own practice. |
